On my way to Los Angeles, I’ve visited California RV Resort for one night. I used my Passport America app to find this park and I was hoping a half-price deal.
I’ve arrived after 8PM at the park. It is in the desert, it was really hot and the first thing I noticed is the strong cow manure smell which filled the air in my small RV pretty quickly. Oh well…. the pool area was nice with a jacuzzi where I spent 30 minutes before it was time to get ready for bed.
Even though I arrived at night, I’ve noticed that there is not much shade in the park. I can’t imagine what you can do all day there when it is 100 degrees out, even the pool area was fully under the sun.
The bathrooms were nice, all sites have full hookups, concrete, level pads, and above all, this park has the nicest showers I’ve seen in an RV resort so far. It was roomie with a separate dressing area with electric plugs and a large mirror.
The next morning I left around 9:30 AM.
One thing bothered me about this park:
One night normally costs $45 with full hookups which I didn’t use. I came after hours and planned to leave in the morning. With Passport America, I would get the night for $22.
When I asked the lady at the office the next morning, how come I was charged the full price, she told me that if I wanted the Passport America discount I had to reserve 24 hours in advance. I tried to tell her, without the Passport America app I wouldn’t even be in that park but she advised me that the rules are very strict.
I read other reviewers as well that they have a set of rules that they won’t change for anyone’s special circumstances.
