I stayed at this park for one night on my way back from the Bay Area to LA. Moss Landing KOA was on the way and I needed a place for a night stay. I absolutely loved looking at the boats at the marina and took a little bike ride around the old fishing town. I saw a lot of seals and they were loud! 🙂 It was a cold but sunny day but the beach and the harbor were worth the stay.
Although the view was stunning and we loved being so close to the water, the spots in this park are very tight. I didn’t really like the way the spots are placed. We were far too close to our neighbors. The sites all had full hookups including cable. I definitely would have liked the spots to be further apart, for privacy. If you like socializing and meeting new people when you are on an RV trip, this is a great place to be as it seems the park is designed for socializing. There is even a big fire pit at the end where people gathered around at night.
The park was clean and well maintained, it had full WiFi and it worked great. There is laundry on-site with 2 washing machines. I would suggest bringing earplugs though if you are a light sleeper because the park is next to a small marina where boats come and go early morning and you will hear them.
There are a couple of very good fresh seafood restaurants within walking distance of the park. One place had live music which was kind of fun but the problem is they play until very late and you can hear it from the park. There are several shops nearby too, within walking distance. The park is dog-friendly and there are several walking paths. They do allow dogs on one part of the beach as well.
Overall I liked this park, other than how tight the spots are.
