I visited Shadow Hills RV Resort one weekend when I decided to go to Palm Springs. The staff at the resort are very friendly. The restrooms and the showers were absolutely impeccable. They actually had quality shampoo, hairdryers and other small items in the well-equipped bathroom. They also have a laundry room.
This park is very pricey but as it says in its name it’s a “resort”. I wouldn’t recommend that families bring children there, most of the people in the park were 55 or older, mostly full-timers and they have strict rules in the pools and running around.
There is a little lake where you can talk a little walk, it is very pretty in the sunset. The very best part about this resort is all of the trees which give you a lot of privacy on your site. All sites are concrete, level, can accommodate bigger rigs and they have full hookups, which is nice. You have your own benches with a table. I loved the shrubs and trees at the site because I felt that it was my own space, and not too close to others.
The pool was extremely clean and they also had a jacuzzi which I didn’t try. they also had a community room, a gym, and a full mail service for people wanting to stay there for long.
The most impressive thing about Shadow Hills is the staff. Polite, friendly, helpful- they were ALL exceptional and I was very impressed. I now realized even though this park is nice, I like State Parks or parks that are in nature way better. This and similar parks are great for full-timers who wish to stay in Palm Springs for longer periods.
